The room had a unique arrangement with an entry hall, giving it a bit of character. It was great to have a separate door to the bedroom, allowing me to control the temperature better and avoid the cold air from the entry hall's air conditioner.
There were some annoying downsides. Walking up four flights of spiral stairs with a leg injury was a real challenge. The room itself had no place to put an opened suitcase except for the bed, and I noticed exposed wires from the electrical fittings, which felt unsafe. The shower was old and in dire need of an update, and although I appreciated the character, it wasn't in the best condition. My entire stay brought me into contact with cluttered courtyard areas, with old air conditioning units and bikes lying around. I dealt with repeated issues like cleaning staff ignoring my 'Do not disturb' signs and incomplete cleaning over my 18 nights. To top it off, there were clogged drains and poor ventilation in the bathroom, not ideal by any stretch.

Attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient for exploring Aix-en-Provence. the lack of an elevator meant we had to navigate many stairs, which could be a challenge for some guests.

What you’ll love and what you won’t
The central location made exploring effortless, combined with a delightful breakfast served by a very professional waiter. The room was cozy and quickly serviced after meals.
The hotel has no elevator, which may be inconvenient with mobility issues. some room fixtures could also use a bit of love and attention.

Just a smart choice for a weekend in Aix-en-Provence with the best value for money ratio. The courtyard area was charming, really added a unique touch to the stay. Make sure to bring your luggage down early if you have a flight, the stairs are tricky!

The room featured lovely Chinoiserie decor and a small private balcony, creating a charming atmosphere. Staff were exceptionally welcoming, always going the extra mile, especially in helping with transport logistics. The restaurant served generous portions of delicious steak, but the room could benefit from an update, particularly in terms of paint and fixtures. An older building means stairs might pose a challenge for some guests, yet the cleanliness of the linens stood out throughout the stay.
